Triad
Kalasataman koulu, Helsinki
2020

Triad is a light installation commissioned by Helsinki Art Museum for the new Kalasatama Comprehensive School.

It consists of three large aluminum reflectors embedded into the wall structure of the school's combined cafeteria and main hall. Each reflector is illuminated by hidden RGB LED-lights, controlled by a computer.

The color of the lights (Newton's primary colors) change slowly and create random combinations. Due to the intense light it is difficult to understand the three dimensional nature of the work and the illuminated reflectors appear as somewhat mystical light spots on the wall.
