Custom-built RGB LED projectors with programmed controllers, steel frames, glass, black Molton fabric

Forty pairs of projected spots of light of varying sizes are sited in unexpected places around the community centre, which combines a day-care centre, primary and secondary school, senior high school and various sports facilities. The projectors are concealed in a space above the ceiling, behind a glass plate that replaces one of the ceiling panels. The colour of the projected spots of light changes gradually and almost imperceptibly, ranging through the whole spectrum and, occasionally, one of the spots briefly vanishes. The idea is to challenge the traditional idea of a public artwork as a monument, by spreading it around the entire building complex. This offers building users a chance to unexpectedly discover something familiar yet different in surprising places.
