Since 1997 we have made several different installations and
constructions using red blinking Led diodes. Most often we
place them in rows or fields of 100-1000 pieces or more soldering
them parallel to copper/steel leads. Blinking Led diodes normally
use 5V voltage which makes the constructions easy to insulate.
The main interest for us is that Led lights are supposed to
be a standard product and all equal, but actually they are
all individual and have an own slightly different blinking
frequency. That creates an interesting phenomena when a big
amount of leds are runned parallelly. The individual Leds
that happen to blink at the same time seem to start to create
constantly changing and moving patterns.
